Wellness center

Roots is a mental health respite center located on Anderson University’s campus, created in collaboration with classmates for the IDEC Student Design Competition. The resources of this facility aim to aid typical mental health issues among college students through nutrition and the provision of autonomous spaces of haven. This will be accomplished through a market stocked with food and drink supporting brain health. Additionally, this space will provide private and semi-private adaptable pods where users may recharge physically and mentally. Design features such as organic materials, abundant daylighting, and calming palettes foster an atmosphere to alleviate stress and reinforce student well-being.

The user interface for this establishment includes the creation of app and digital menu. The ROOTS app allows students to check on the availability of a pod and reserve their space prior to arrival.
